Hi Surge,

If I am not mistaken, swap charges depend on your position size,  type of position vs trend (long or short)

I currently have 32 open positions with Oand and paid -0.12 euro on swap charges for 1/9/2010, this number can go up or down (even positive) based on above.

I guess there is no straightforward answer to your question but take a look at the following thread:

I use Dukascopy and they do have swap charges, (roll overs) in some case I make money in others i pay.  They have a page that keeps a running tab on what you have paid to date on open positions. The most I paid was on NZD/USD  which was open for a month on 20K position was a total of $42.00 and that was the highest on GPB/USD it was $5.00 for 15K position for 3 plus weeks.

Hi Surge

I believe Silvertrader recommends Oanda or Saxo.  I do not have an account with either of those yet and I am just learning what my broker charges on swap.  It seems to be reasonable, but I would imagine that as my account grows and the trade sizes increase, it could run into what might seem excessive.  Especially if the trades are open for quite awhile.  I have not yet looked into what Oanda or Saxo charges as far as swap rates, but if you are going live soon I would check them out.  It doesn't seem like the swap charges are prohibitive really, as far as keeping the trades open for a long time, but of course you would want the lowest ones you can find.

Hello I am wonder what kind of swap charges people are paying on there accounts. I read that the swaps are are talking alot away from the profits. Silver Trader can you help us on which broker charge's no or less swap charge, you were saying some thing about Onada? Do they not charge swaps? I will be starting live trading soon but i do not want pay to high swap charges, from what i can see from my demo on Primusfx they could get quite high if hold possition for over a month or longer. May Silvertrader could shed some more light on this.

Thank you so much for this service.
